Abstract:
New inexpensive materials for visualization, evaluation, and measurements of the parameters of high-current pulsed electron beams are described. Visualizers are based on natural or synthetic minerals (apatite, spodumene, and calcite) containing Mn2+ impurity with a concentration of 0.1-1 wt \%. Under the action of electron beams, these minerals brightly fluoresce in the orange-yellow spectral region and possess an afterglow lasting several tens of minutes. The application of the visualizers is illustrated.
