Abstract:
The electrocrystallization of a loose deposit under galvanostatic conditions was simulated in terms of metal discharge at the highest points of hemispheres constituting the growth front. Tendencies of change in the number and tip radii of the hemispherical dendrites with the impressed current and metal ion concentration were discussed. The dynamics of the concentration changes occurring under galvanostatic conditions in the space next to the electrode was investigated while accounting for advance of the phase boundary. The problem was solved for cases of severe diffusion limitations in the time domain following the transition time.
