Abstract:
We have found that the zero-phonon line of the donor exciton Ni {[}d(7)e] and its vibrational repetitions in the electroabsorption spectrum depend strongly on the composition of the solid solution ZnSe1-ySy:Ni (y less than or equal to 20\%). Using the idea of an intermediate virtual \{d(8)\}{*} state, we interpret this on the basis of the adiabatic potential model as an interaction of the d(7) configuration with the nearest-neighbor environment and nonradiative tunneling recombination {[}d(7)e]-->(d(8)){*}.
