Abstract:
The effect of the excess carbide phase in amounts of 3-11 wt \% on the sensitivity of eddycurrent and magnetic testing methods is studied. The case of the wear resistance of high-carbon (0.83-1.53 wt \% C) steels quenched at a low temperature (790 degrees C) and tempered in the temperature range 75-700 degrees C is considered.
