Abstract:

Technology for producing high quality slag forming mixtures as granules for continuous steelmaking is described, and the benefits of using it are outlined. The granules have good shelf life. Their use enables strands of excellent surface quality to be produced, the working environment to be improved, and feeding of the mixture into the mould to be mechanised.
