Abstract:
Experimental data on the kinetics of the isothermal formation of bainite and martensite in low-carbon alloys Fe-9.38\% Cr and Fe-14.95\% Ni are presented. Kinetic models of the formation of bainite and packet martensite that allow for a complex hierarchy of the packet structure are suggested. On the basis of experimental data, the power n in the Avrami equation was shown to change upon transformation from n approximate to 2 to n approximate to 1. The models developed explain the observed values of n and their change upon the transformation.
