Abstract:
The results of experimental investigations of magnetic and magnetoresistive properties of bulk polycrystalline La0.75Ba0.25MnO3 manganites subjected to different heat treatments in an oxygen flow are presented. Contributions to the magnetoresistance from grains and grain boundaries are separated. It is shown that the magnetoresistance near the temperature of the phase transition can be increased by a proper choice of the regime of heat treatment. The mechanisms of conductivity are discussed within the model of the mobility-edge shift.
