Abstract:
Magnetic properties of ferromagnet/spin-density-wave anti ferromagnet/ferromagnet nanostructures are analyzed in terms of the model of spin-density waves (SDW) suggested by Walker. The interfaces between structural layers were assumed to be ideal. Conditions are formulated under which parallel and antiparallel orientations of the magnetic moments M-1 and M-2 of the ferromagnetic layers are realized. Conditions are studied under which metastable states with various orientations of the vectors M-1 and M-2, including non-collinear configuration, can exist. Curves of magnetization and magnetization reversal (hysteresis loops) of such nanostructures are analyzed. Conditions have been obtained for the existence of hysteresis loops of unique shapes, e.g., when (a) the magnetization curve consists of two loops separated by an anhysteretic region of reversible magnetization reversal or (b) the magnetization curve extends beyond the hysteresis loop.
