Abstract:
Transducers of magnetic field have been fabricated from Fe/Cr magnetic superlattices with layer thicknesses of several lattice constants demonstrating giant magnetoresistivity. Parameters of their magnetoresistivity, their frequency characteristics, time stability, and their dependence on the ambient temperature have been studied. Recommendations have been suggested for selection of optimal layer thicknesses in Fe/Cr superlattices with a view to obtaining maximal magnetoresistivity.
