Abstract:
Complex oxides Ln(2)Mn(2/3)M(4/3)O(7) (Ln=RE; M=Mo, Re) with a pyrochlore-like structure and hexagonal unit cells have been obtained. Magnetic susceptibility and magnetization measurements show that these oxides possess spontaneous magnetic moments at low temperatures. Valence combinations of d-metals in the oxides are Mn2+-M5+.
