Abstract:
The behavior of the thermodynamic properties of crystalline and liquid sodium was analyzed over a wide range of stable states to estimate the behavior of thermodynamic stability boundaries of both phases under isothermal stretching conditions. A relation between the pressure pole p, in the equation for melting curves and the internal pressure pi of the condensed phase close to the triple point was established for a large series of metals.
