Abstract:
An efficient procedure has been developed for the synthesis of 4-substituted 2,6-bis(fluoroalkyl)-2,6-dihydroxytetrahydro-2H-pyran-3,5-dicarboxylates by reactions of aldehydes with fluorine-containing beta-oxo esters in heterogeneous catalytic system 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate {[}bmim]{[}BF4]-K2CO3 activated by ultrasound. The system retains its catalytic activity for three reaction cycles.
