Abstract:
The ionites were modified using novel sulfo-containing hetarylformazanes. The sorption properties of the modified ionites were studied, and their selectivity toward the Cu(2+) ions was revealed. The EPR method was used to demonstrate that, regardless of the structures of the initial formazane group and polymer unit cell, the coordination core of the modified copper-containing ionites mainly has the CuN(4) composition. The catalytic properties of the copper- and iron-containing polymeric formazanes of various structures were examined in the liquid-phase reactions of oxidation of sulfides and hydrogen sulfide.
