Abstract:

A new direction in developing forged refractories by using air-removing pressing regimes with the aim of forming a high-strength structure in them and elevating their wear resistance in service is suggested. It is shown that the basic laws of metamorphic formation of some rocks can be used in the development of an optimum manufacturing process for refractory and ceramic parts.
