Abstract:
It is shown that precipitation of hydrated titania from sulphuric acid and hydrochloric acid solutions in the presence of graphite soot gives rise to titania composite material with surface-deposited hydrated TiO2 particles. Three levels of hydrated TiO2 particles size distributions have been detected as a result of SEM and STM analysis of the composites. Quantum-chemical simulation of titanium salts polymerisation processes was carried out. Analysis of sorption properties of titania composite materials has revealed that their microelements selectivity changes significantly in comparison with that of titania powder synthesised in sulphuric or hydrochloric processes.
