Abstract:
The results of theoretical and experimental studies of the electronic structure, the nature of interatomic interactions and properties of binary metal borides, ternary boron-containing compounds and alloys, as well as amorphous binary and polycomponent borides are summarised. The prospects of using solid state quantum chemistry methods in the description of fundamental electronic properties of metal borides are considered.
