Abstract:
The main direction of the ecological safety rise for converter steelmaking is going to cast iron conversion with low phosphorus content. The best ecological indexes of converter process are achieved in cast iron conversion with phosphorus content equal to 0.1-0.3% by single-slag process. The waste exhaust in single-slag process is lowered up to 2941 kg/melt as compared with the base technology of cast iron conversion with phosphorus content equal to 0.6-0.9%.
