Abstract:
The iron-based powder alloys are elaborated to use for plasma spraying the wear resistant coatings instead of expensive Ni- and Co-based alloys. An equilibrium composition of oxide phase, formed in the process of forming and following heat treatment of plasma sprayed Fe-based powder coatings, is evaluated. A procedure and results of computation for liquid-phase coating, cladding and fusion process, proceeding in the systems of Fe-Cr-Si-C, Fe-Cr-Si-C-V, Fe-Cr-Si-C-Ti are given.
