Abstract:
Computer simulation and theoretical calculations were used to reveal the possible mechanism of hydrogen permeation in amorphous iron- and palladium-based alloys. It was established experimentally that the flux of penetrating hydrogen exhibits an Arrhenius temperature dependence in the case of a recrystallized sample and a nonmonotonic temperature dependence in amorphous samples. A model of hydrogen permeation is suggested that takes into account the specific features of reemission and diffusion upon contact with glow discharge; estimates of corresponding kinetic and energy parameters were obtained.
