Abstract:
A molecular-dynamics model of the dynamical properties of alkali-metal amalgams is investigated. Specific properties of the latter are discussed in a manner closely interrelated with the structural properties of melts studied earlier. Estimates of such microscopic characteristics of the dynamical properties of melts, e.g. self-diffusion coefficients and viscosity, are presented. Differences between the individual dynamics in the alkali metals and amalgams are discussed.
