Abstract:
Data are obtained which confirm a previously established range of optimal basicity (0. 85-1. 15) for obtaining strong high-ferrous-content pellets. In addition, it is established that an attempt to increase the concentration of solid fuel in the initial samples in order to improve their metallurgical properties leads to a need to decrease their basicity within this range. Otherwise, liquid-phase formation in the samples and, ultimately, sintering of the samples will occur too soon.
