Abstract:
A scanning photosedimentograph characterized by a high precision in determining granulometric composition of materials and by enhanced reliability of measurements is described. It is noted that the instrument shows high durability and measurement accuracy due to the absence of a mechanical drive and the presence of 8 measuring channels. An original mathematical apparatus which allows one to determine automatically the integral size distribution of particles was developed.
