Abstract:
In the paper, the process of pneumatic classification of substandard sands is discussed. It is shown that the optimum choice of the separation limits of the equipments allows one to obtain sands with the standard granulometric composition. A mathematical model which allows one to optimize working conditions of the pneumoclassifiers and to reach the maximum yield of the final product was developed. The examples of industrial use of the pneumoclassifiers are given.
