Abstract:
The scanning photosedimentogragh developed at Ural State Technical University has been described. Results of grain-size analysis of various refractory materials, performed on the photosedimentograph have been presented. Experimental data for alumina, cement, bauxite, quartzite, and mullite slurries have been given. Experimental dependences of error of measurement on concentration of solid phase have been obtained. Comparison of grain-size analyses obtained on the photosedimentograph and on micromash has been performed. Satisfactory agreement of these analyses has been noted.
