Abstract:
The authors have developed a multiple model of heat exchange and gasdynamics in shaft furnaces. It has been proven possible to use an approximation of eddy-free motion of gas flow under isothermal conditions, in a layer with constant porosity, to optimize the structural and working regime parameters. The optimum parameters were established for layered shaft furnaces to probide the maximum levels of utilization of reduction and thermal gas potentials.
