Abstract:
The problem of the movement of the gas stream in cylindrical shaft furnaces has been solved. In the region near the tuyeres, there is substantial non-uniformity in the distribution of the angular component of the velocity vector, which is comparable in magnitude with the vertical projection of velocity.
