References In putting the sample together we used information on cross-border migrants (for 2010 2,003 foreign students enrolled in the municipal educational institutions of KhMAO-Iugra), since there were no data reflecting internal migration in the okrug's Department of Education and Science; We are convinced that the actual situation in schools does not agree with the information in report documents. This is due to a number of factors; The UFMS [Okrug Administration of the Federal Migration Service] lacks statistics on migrants' children, and the basic information about them has to be found in the schools; The schools are not able to track down students' migrant status, and very often they conceal the number of migrants' children out of the fear of being called migrant" schools; They realize that in the minds of the public, this will bring more negative consequences than benefits; Our general sample set consisted of all students in eighth through eleventh grades of KhMAO-Iugr; The sample required preliminary stratification by regions; We selected four regions that had the maximum number of migrants' children who were attending school: Surgut, with 47 percent, Nizhnevartovsk, with 28 percent, Nefteiugansk, with 13 percent, and Surgutskii raion, with 12 percent; We used a stratified sample with proportional placement; To calculate the size of the sample set as a whole and the sample separated by strata, we used statistical information on the municipal educational institutions of KhMAO-Iugra; Next, a two-level sample was implemented. On the first level, the schools selected were from the total list in the population centers that were chosen; On the second level, grades were selected (cluster selection); The total sample consisted of 1,631 persons; The sizes of the strata were: Surgut-714, Nizhnevartovsk-472, Nefteiugansk-245, and population centers in Surgutskii raion-200; Pearson Chi-square = value 34.159(a) Asymp. Sig. (two-sided) 0.0; Cramer's V = 0.2; Pearson Chi-square = value 37.552(a) Asymp. Sig. (two-sided) 0.0; Cramer's V = 0.2
