Abstract:
Crystal-lattice microdistortions in thermally treated steel IIIX15 are estimated via measurement of Rayleigh waves' propagation velocity by means of the technique based on speckle dynamic interferometry. A special feature of this technique is noncontact determination of the elastic-wave velocity and the possibility of performing short-distance measurements. The dependence of Rayleigh waves' velocity on the crystal-lattice microdistortions is established relative to changes in heat treatment regimes.
