Abstract:
Kinetic regularities of impurity transfer into the solution when leaching the calcined Waelz oxide of zinc production are determined by leaching the individual iron, copper, and lead oxides. The escape of impurities into the solution during when the model iron and copper oxides is limited by the induction developmental period of the reaction, which is attributed to the selective adsorption of protons on the oxide surface and separate active centers with the subsequent diffusion of protons into the oxide phase bulk. The chemical interaction itself is the slowest stage at the degree of recovery alpha < 0.5, and the reaction runs in the kinetic mode.
