Abstract:
Methane production in trunks of living and dead trees was demonstrated. Forest trees are one of sources for this gas emission into the atmosphere. Quantitative evaluation of the methagenic activity of living wood and that digested by xylotrophic fungi is presented. © 2008 MAIK Nauka.
