Abstract:
A consideration is given to a phenomenon of reversal magnetization of ferromagnetic microparticle at ultralow temperatures when thermal fluctuations of magnetic moment are 'frozen' and its spontaneous reorientation occurs through quantum tunnelling. The probability of such mechanism is calculated for a microparticle of ferromagnetic crystal of unspecified symmetry, attenuation and magnetic field effect not taking into account. A formula is derived to determine a temperature limit lower which tunnelling becomes a key mechanism of microparticle reversal magnetization.
