Abstract:
The crystal structure and magnetic state of the compounds Ce(2)Fe(17), with Curie temperature T(C) ranging from 20 to 116 K, but almost constant Neel temperatures T(N) approximate to 206 K, were studied by X-ray and neutron-diffraction methods and magnetic measurements. The relation between the magnetic state and the real crystal structure of Ce(2)Fe(17) is discussed. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
