Abstract:
The finite-element method is used to study the regularities of overcondensation of the material of the walls of a cavity shaped as a hollow cylinder, with monotonic variation of the temperature along the cavity radius. It has been found that, depending on the behavior of the temperature field, the minimum and maximum temperatures in the cavity, the heat of evaporation of the material, and the radii of the external and internal cylindrical surfaces, four modes of the process are realized, differing by the position of the condensation and evaporation zones. The conditions of realization of the overcondensation modes are given in graphical form.
