Abstract:
Not only the formation and motion of gas bubbles in the melt but also the bulk content of gas in a form of bubbles in it considerably affects the heat exchange when performing the fire refining of copper in a ladle furnace. The influence of gas filling of the melt in the course of blowing and temperature of gases under the cap on an average temperature of the refined melt is considered in the presented mathematical model. © 2015, Allerton Press, Inc.
