Abstract:
Results are given for studying combined leaching of bauxite, bauxite cake, and sintering section electrostatic precipitator dust. Experiments are performed within the following limiting conditions: temperature 220-260A degrees C, leaching time 30-90 min, return solution concentration 315-280 g/dm(3) Na2Oc. It is proven that alumina extraction into solution with combined leaching of bauxite, cake, and electrostatic precipitator dust is higher than with standard bauxite leaching by the Bayer process. A favorable effect is achieved due to forming alumino-ferruginous hydrogarnets during leaching. An increase in leaching temperature makes it possible to improve alumina leaching under stable uniform conditions.
