Abstract:
Complex {[}CoCl(L)](2)(mu-Cl)(2) (L = 8-(2-butylthioethyl)oxyquinoline) is studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. The empirical formula of the compound is C30H34Cl4Co2N2O2S2, the crystals are monoclinic, a = 9.9382(13) , b = 11.9097(8) , c = 14.5715(11) , beta = 102.511(9)A degrees, Z = 2, space group P2(1)/c. The complex is dimeric with bridging chlorine atoms, and the heterocyclic ligand L is tridentate-cyclic.
