Abstract:

Interaction of 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine with cyanomethyl alcohol in aqueous acetone solution in the presence of sodium hydrochloride yielded mono-, di-, and tricyanomethoxy derivatives of S-triazine. The mobility of the cyanomethoxy derivatives in reactions was shown to be comparable with that of halogen atoms. The compounds were studied for anti-inflammatory, analgetic, and antimicrobial activities.
