Abstract:
This paper summaries the findings to establish the relationship between the structure, reactivity in neutral (biological) environments and the cytotoxic activity of aromatic diazonium salts (ADS) as an active triazenes and to outline the prospects for goal-oriented search for new biologically active substances. To define the reaction rate ratios of C-, S- and N-azocombination of ADS in the neutral (biological) media as C-, S,- and N-nucleophils, in addition to free amino acids, the authors used amino acid derivatives simulating the reactivity of the phenol cycle of tyrosine, the imidazole nucleus of histidine, N(alpha)-, N(epsilon)- and SH-groups of amino acids as part of proteins and peptides.
