Abstract:
The paper analyses the characteristic features of inelastic scattering of neutrons with spin flip which have been till now thought to directly support the short range order model in the local band theory for strong ferromagnets (like Fe and Ni) though were observed in the weak band magnetic MnSi as well. In terms of the theory of temperature-induced local magnetic moments which provides fairly good explanation of anomalies of the magnetic and thermal properties of band magnetics near the Curie point, the existence (at least in weak band magnetics) of a dynamic short range magnetic order manifesting itself as time-varying magnetic clusters is predicted.
