Abstract:

This paper deals with the possibilities of mechanical faults diagnosis of induction motors by analysis of instantaneous active and reactive powers. The main theoretical aspects, the experimental results and their analysis are presented. The frequency components of spectral characteristics, which are appear, when induction motor operated with damaged bearings are presented. It is shown that preventive diagnosis of induction motors by analysis of instantaneous active and reactive powers allows us detection of bearings defects. Diagnosis of bearings is important for powerful and responsible motor during their exploitation.
