Abstract:

The presented paper focuses on a comparative study of performance of electric drives with induction motor (IM) and synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) for a pumping unit. Performance of motors in the study is presented in a form of contour lines of efficiency ratio. Payback period of an engineering solution in a case of IM substitution for SynRM is calculated. It is demonstrated, that use of RSM in a pump drive may contribute to a significant improvement of efficient energy use of a pumping unit.
