Abstract:
It is shown that the giant magnetoresistance effect in magnetic metal superlattices with imperfect interfaces can be explained with the help of quasi-classical theory of the resistivity of individual thin layers of magnetic metal. The general formulas for magnetoresistance effect magnitude which describe its dependence on the mean magnetization of the superlattice at low temperatures have been obtained.
