Abstract:
The problem of perpendicular and in-plane spin-dependent transport in magnetic superlattices is treated within a unified semi-classical approach. By starting from the Boltzmann equation with exact boundary conditions, we calculate the magnetoresistance in both geometries. A correlation between the giant magnetoresistance and the superlattice magnetization is also considered.
