You know, UrFU is an international university. Many bachelor’s and master’s degree programs include courses in learning Russian language. The library holds an extensive collection in Russian as a foreign language. It includes fiction, printed scientific and study materials, specialized dictionaries, and electronic textbooks. Today we overview online resources. The electronic library system (ILS) «University Library Online» provides full-text remote access to around 700 items which can satisfy any taste and need. There are several types of textbooks. You can find items for all learners no matter what their native language is and items intended for those speaking Chinese, Spanish or Turkish, for example. In the aspect of a discipline, textbooks are universal, or teaching particularly grammar, phonetics, lexicology, culture of speech, philology, translation, etc. The next category is a student’s area of studies. You can find textbooks for students of mathematics, physics, economics, engineering, linguistics, and other disciplines as well as guides in academic writing. As regards the language level, all items can be divided into basic, intermediate or advanced courses. Besides, the electronic library system contains dictionaries of various types. And surely there are adapted texts of Russian fiction, as it is believed that just reading fiction in the original masters your language. The second (ILS) IPR Books also contains various kinds of textbooks for learning Russian as a foreign language though its collection is not so numerous. All you need is to authorize in each of the ILS through your personal UrFU account and enter the topic “русский как иностранный” (in Russian) in the search field.
