Reading Unites People
____

October 9 is celebrated all over Russia as Reading Day. As we approach this day, we are pleased to remind you about a project that has been run by Ural Federal University Library for over 7 years. “UrFU Bookcrossing” («Книгообмен УрФУ») allows readers to exchange books for free. The main aim of the project is to promote reading and create an active community of users united by a common desire to read classic print editions, communicate and exchange various books.

On the bookshelves involved in the project one can always find new books or share theirs. Every day the bookshelves are stocked with editions brought by students, faculty and staff members. Books appear on the shelves and disappear from them at a very high rate, so if something has sparked your interest, do not wait till later! If you are ready to share some of the books in your possession, we would be very glad if you leave them on our bookshelves. We accept books in any language in the following categories: works of fiction in different genres, non-fiction editions and teaching materials.

The project is active on all three sites of the university library. Bookshelves involved in the project “UrFU Bookcrossing” are located at the following addresses:

- 19 Mira Street, in the left wing of the library on the first floor;
- 4 Turgeneva Street, on the second floor;
- 48 Kuybysheva Street, in the catalogue hall on the second floor.

Join in the exchange of books and find something to your taste on the shelves of “UrFU Bookcrossing”!
