A year ago on the eve of the Russian Science Day, UrFU Library opened a unique exposition space on Turgeneva Street (room 267). It provided open access to the books on display and the possibility to study them in comfortable atmosphere.
Four exhibitions have been arranged over the year. In one of them representatives of the Department of Cultural Studies and Design of the Ural Federal University and members of the Russian Union of Artists took part. The exposition was brilliantly supplemented by their creativities executed in different techniques, such as graphics, watercolours, oil, acrylic, and rolling.
The exhibition dedicated to the Decade of Childhood in the Russian Federation (2018-2027) enjoyed a particular success. Apart from pieces of art in Russian and foreign languages and popular science items, the exposition demonstrated creativities made by the children and grandchildren of Library specialists.
In 2023 we are planning a new exhibition “Book Tour over Ekaterinburg” dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the largest Ural city. Follow our news!
