UrFU Library has prepared a new program of scientific sessions within celebrating the Day of Russian Science. The program of events is uploaded on the Library site.
All the activities will proceed from 8 to 16 February from 2 PM in the Information Centre of Library Resources in 19 Mira Street. Online participation is also possible. An electronic certificate will be issued to the registered participants having attended all the sessions.
Apart from the guide to a wide variety of academic resources in different fields, many topical issues will be featured, among them the program of stimulating UrFU scholars’ publications and the today University corresponding analytics; the possibility of publishing in UrFU scientific journals as well as publishing a personal book in Ural University Press, or, for example, in INFRA-M scientific publishing centre; patenting in UrFU or patenting analytics in the All-Russian database of intellectual property products. Of interest will be the presentation of Director of Mivercom (Moscow) company, the largest provider of scientific information in Russia, giving an insight into the world experience and home practice of using open access resources in the research activity. The speakers will also highlight such important aspects as project presentation skills and the art of argument; a peculiar assistance of rare books to researcher; the resources for visually impaired and blind; bibliographic description of online resources and compiling bibliographic lists. A separate seminar has been prepared in English for our international students and post graduates.
The sessions are targeting not only towards young researchers. Everyone is welcome – bachelors, specialists, master students, post graduates, including international ones, professors of UrFU and other universities and information institutions of the Russian Federation, publishing houses, and library specialists.
