In the Library, a New Space for Individual Work Has Emerged!

We invite readers to visit the renovated Scientific Technics & Engineering Reading Room at the library located at 19 Mira Street (left staircase, room Б-301), where you can freely select and read Russian and foreign journals, sit with your laptop in a cozy corner by the window, work with electronic resources, or communicate with friends.
The collection of domestic scientific journals includes reports of the Academy of Sciences, bulletins, and other types of journals from the 1930s up to the present day covering various technical topics such as iron-and-steel and non-ferrous metallurgy, metal science, energy, instrumentation, electronics, construction, mining, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and more. Foreign scientific and technical journals spanning a century and a half – from 1865 to 2022 – as well as general and technical encyclopedias, handbooks, and dictionaries are also presented. All journals are freely accessible.
In the reading room, you can work with your laptop, place a request for scientific works from the main repository, or order a journal not present in the Library collection using an interlibrary loan. There is also a computer with scientific databases in the reading room, and librarians are available to assist you in navigating their use. All journals can aid in finding analytical, factual, and other data for your research, to compile a picture of the development of science and technology in a specific period and field, and to conduct your analysis on the topic of your scientific work.
