As we highlighted already, in 2023 the world largest publishing house Elsevier suspended access to all its products in the Russian Federation. Even the articles published in open-access journals were unavailable. But still, times change. And suddenly we discovered, that we can use the database ScienceDirect! Of course, there is no possibility to read any article you want. But full-text reading and downloading of the articles published in open access journals is available. Note, that these are journals published by Elsevier and their indexing in Scopus is guaranteed. How should you access the database ScienceDirect? Visit the Library site, section UrFU electronic resources on the English language version or Электронные ресурсы УрФУ on the Russian language version. Enter sciencedirect (it is one word) in the search box. Follow the link. Make necessary query in the ScienceDirect. In the results returned look for the articles indicated "Full text access". Read them, download them! We recommend you to compile a collection of articles answering your research subject, as we are not sure that even such way of access would be stopped soon. You can also review the list of journals in the database and study those indicated "Supports open access". Definitely, you can view all the bibliometric indicators in the journal profile.
