April 23 has been World Book and Copyright Day for almost 30 years. Annually, UNESCO awards the title of World Book Capital to a city for the best public programs related to books and reading. In 2024, Strasbourg, a beautiful old city in northeastern France, has been chosen as the World Book Capital.

Over the period of its existence, World Book and Copyright Day has made friends of books to a large number of people on all continents and has contributed to the strengthening of copyright protection, an integral part of any creative profession. The University Library invites you to review with many editions on copyright and book industry. Printed editions can be found in Liberal Arts & Humanities Circulation Desk (4 Turgeneva Street, Room 252), online publications – by accessing the electronic library system IPR BOOKS.
